Mr Matthew James is one of London’s leading plastic surgeons, with over 20 years of specialist surgical experience.

Previously Clinical Director of Plastic and Reconstructive service at Guys and St Thomas' NHS trust. Medical director and founder of the highly succesful Cavendish Clinics .
Having performed thousands of successful operations during his career, he has a busy private practice at HCA London Bridge and BMI Blackheath Hospitals and Harley Street clinics.

Mr Matthew James is a specialist in hand surgery, facial plastic surgery and aesthetic procedures to the breast and abdominal region.
He undertook fellowship training in facial plastic and cosmetic surgery at the McIndoe Surgical Unit. With 18 years post fellowship expertise in abdominal wall reconstruction and all aspects of cosmetic breast surgery, he has pioneered and published on a novel muscle splitting breast augmentation procedure to avoid the 'fake look' and dynamic breast deformity.Pioneer of the Artiss fibrin glue face lift for minimal down time.

Mr James has developed this success through intense training around the world including London, Cambridge, Adelaide, Sydney and the renowned McIndoe Surgery Centre.

GMC -Specialist Board certified Plastic Surgeon and full member of BAAPS (British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) and British Society of Surgery of Hand.
Mr James completed his surgical training at specialist teaching hospitals in London, Cambridge and Australia, including a fellowship at the prestigious McIndoe Surgical Centre. Having performed thousands of successful operations over his career, he founded Cavendish Clinic in 2011, bringing together industry experts and medical professionals to deliver the latest and most effective aesthetic treatments for the face and body.
Mr James currently leads the advanced hand course  at Guys and St Thomas’ hospital and is trainer of cosmetic surgery and hand surgery for the Royal College of Surgeons.
